The Five Pillars of Islam

Shahada

Faith-It is a belief that there is no God except Allah and Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) is the last and final Prophet of Allah.

Salah

Prayer-Facing the Qibla five times a day. Fajr, Zuhr, Asar, Maghrib and Isha are prayed on the specified timings of the day.

Zakat

Alms-In accordance with Islamic law, Muslims donate a fixed proportion of their income to the community members in need.

Sawm

Fasting-In the holy month of Ramadan, Muslims fast which renews the awareness and gratitude for everything God has provided.

Hajj

Pilgrimage-Every Muslim, health and finances permit it, must make at least one visit to the holy city of Mecca to perform Hajj.
